Landlord Regulations
To ensure the safety of your tenants and staff in your buildings, and your compliance with regulations, all gas and electrical appliances within your rented accommodations must be tested and certified safe. By staying current with these requirements, you will be able to provide proof that all appliances were safe, if an unfortunate accident were to occur.
Landlords have a serious responsibility, especially when it comes to preventing carbon monoxide poisoning, which can result in death or serious injury, due to defective gas appliances. Gas leaks are insidious; they cannot be detected by smell, and often go unnoticed until it is too late.
Electricity, too, is dangerous. According to RoSPA, 3,000 people were hospitalised in just one year due to electrical current accidents. In 1995, electricity killed 66 people, injured 23,756, and caused 7,500 fires.
Pares Building and Property Services will ensure your buildings comply with all regulations, and are safe for residents, with a thorough annual inspection of gas and electrical appliances and systems.
