Electrical testing
Over 1,000 work place accidents involving electric shock are reported to The Health & Safety Executive each year, many of which are fatal. Most of the reported accidents involve portable appliances, which is why testing is essential for all businesses and organizations. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a statutory requirement, and is now required by many insurance underwriters as well.
PAT is carried out annually for most appliances, and we will send a reminder to our customers when this test is due so that they never fall foul of the inspectors. Where the public is involved, the NICEIC regulations are more stringent than in the home so inspecting and testing in commercial properties is carried out at more frequent intervals.
We also recognise that an electrical problem for a commercial customer will probably mean loss of revenue so it is essential to keep your electricity in perfect working order.
It is vital that all electrical testing in commercial buildings is carried out by qualified, trained professionals at the correct intervals for each different type of appliance. We PAT testing in accord with the IET Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

We also offer a periodic test and inspection which is a report detailing the condition of the electrical installation. The faults will be coded from 1-4 according to safety issues, compliance with regulations and items that are recommended, but not essential. You can then decide how much remedial work you wish to have carried out as a result of the periodic test and inspection.
